One Trick Pony – An Apology

It has come to our attention that the cans of One Trick Pony, our recently released Rose Lemonade sour, carry some information on the labels regarding the beer’s suitability for vegans, which is incorrect.

Since the beginning of August 2017, all of the beers we have produced in both can and keg, as well as our range of 300ml bottles, have been suitable for vegans, as a result of Isinglass no longer being used as a processing aid for these package types.

One Trick Pony has been processed in the same way, with the label proudly stating that the beer is ‘suitable for vegans’. Unfortunately, due to the beer having been soured using a technique that involves the use of natural yoghurt and this having been overlooked when the details of the label were put together, this statement is incorrect.

We apologise wholeheartedly for this oversight and any inconvenience or upset this may cause.

We pride ourselves on the quality of what we produce and always strive to provide as much information as possible on our packaged beers.  As such, we are incredibly frustrated that this error wasn’t picked up on at the proofing stage, prior to the labels being printed.

Please be assured that every other beer we produce that is listed as being suitable for vegans is exactly that.

If you would like any further information, please email hello@roosters.co.uk.

Keep an eye out for a small(ish) addition to the latest batch of Yankee pump clips we’ve had printed that’ll soon be adorning hand pumps at quality outlets across Yorkshire & beyond #productoftheyear 🏆🍻

Thanks to everyone who nominated us. We were delighted to learn we'd been shortlisted for this award a few weeks ago, but to actually win it is amazing. Hats off to the whole of our team & well played Yankee - not a bad way to celebrate 25 years since first being brewed! 🏆 🍻

We had a blast brewing with our good friends from @greencheekbeer a couple of weeks ago. The result is Pecking Order, a juicy pale ale that includes a cheeky little addition of dried orange peel from oranges grown, picked, zested, dried & smuggled into the country by Evan & Brian. Catch it launching in both cask and keg at @10devonshirepl on the 20th and then at our last brewery taproom social on Saturday 22nd! 🍻

We’re all set for @leedsbeerfest 🙌🏻 Come & find us to quench your pale ale / brut pils / lemon radler / Turkish Delight stout / pineapple & grapefruit IPA / cucumber pale ale / Rocky Mountain IPA / IPA-Lager hybrid / American wheat beer thirst 👍🏻🍻

Well, this is jolly exciting...

Coming soon...

The wanderer returns! Six years on from his internship with us & fresh off the red eye from LAX, we enjoyed brewing with @YorkshireSquareBrewery’s Andy Black today. Brewers of incredible, traditional cask beers in Torrance, CA, Yorkshire Square also have the best t-shirts to go with ‘em!

Launching at the @harrogatetap on Saturday July 28th, we’re excited to share the first details of the beer we recently brewed with Wales’ finest, @tinyrebelbrewco, as part of our 25th Anniversary Collaboration Project!

Fancy a few light ales direct from the source, served by the brewers? We're opening our doors for the first time as a tap room on Saturday February 24th between 12pm and 6pm.

It’s not every day that a brewery turns twenty-five, so we’ve decided to celebrate by brewing a bunch of beers with some of our favourite brewers and breweries across 2018.

We've teamed up with our friends at Taylors of Harrogate to develop a brand new black coffee IPA called Wake-Up Call.

This year's open day will take place on Saturday July 29th and we'll once again be joined by DJ Tony Safari, as well as Mac Daddies, Andy Annat's Crackerjack BBQ and Karkli's Chompmaster, Kumar.

We're delighted to share the news that Rooster's came away with a gold, silver and bronze medal at the 2017 International Brewing Awards.

Late last year we brewed a beer called Howl, which was a 6.8% imperial stout that was conditioned on rum barrel oak and released a cask-only limited edition beer in the run up to Christmas. What we didn’t tell anyone was that we squirreled 5 BBLs of the original beer away...

Rooster’s scooped five awards at the SIBA North East Beer Competition, which was held in York on September 14th.

This year we have chosen to support the Yorkshire Children’s Trust with the brewing of our annual charity fundraising beer, White Rose.

At the end of April we hooked up with our friends at The Bronx Brewery in New York to spend a day brewing with them...
